Sentinel Creatives is an indie press and production house located in Cape Town, South Africa, specialising in superb works of fiction and near-fiction.
Established in 2018, the company was founded by a small but dedicated team of like-minded individuals, with a view to producing and distributing original stories, comics, games, and other forms of media. The scope of our output has since narrowed to focus primarily on long and short-form fiction. In the relatively brief time since our inception, we’ve had the pleasure of working with formidable writers from all over the world, some well-established and some previously unknown, and have published several standalone novels, novellas, and short-story anthologies.
Our works are distributed in a variety of formats, both physical and digital, and our sister company, Citadel Studios, creates richly detailed audiobook adaptations of those works.
Mitchell Lüthi is an author, musician, and co-founder of Sentinel Creatives. His works include the novellas The Black Hussars, The Ritual, and The Zealot.
He has also contributed to the Write Like Hell anthologies, and is currently working on the Plagueborne trilogy, and a full-length novel, Hallowed. At Sentinel, he has served as co-editor to the Write Like Hell anthologies, composer and producer for all audio productions with Citadel Studios, and content supervisor.
Scott Miller is dark fiction writer, one of the co-founders of Sentinel Creatives, and its editor in chief. His keen interest in philosophy and the human condition informs much of his fiction, and his passion for language and its mechanics stems from his background in English. He finds the process of editing and formatting the written word a genuine delight. At Sentinel, he has served as co-editor to all publications to date, including the short-form anthology series Write Like Hell.
He also forms an integral part of the audio production house and sister company, Citadel Studios, where he lends his talent for narration and voice-acting to the process of creating audiobooks, alongside writer, producer, and musician Mitchell Lüthi.
Stephen Spinas is a freelance graphic designer, illustrator, and comic book artist from Cape Town, South Africa. He is also a co-founder of Sentinel Creatives. Over the last decade, his works have featured in a number of novels, album covers, comic books, audiobooks, advertising campaigns, and product labels.
A dedicated Twitch streamer, Stephen has also featured on a number of Twitch channels, including UGCZA. He is currently working on his first full-length graphic novel, Em is for Monsters.
